A Brief Biography
What can I possibly say about myself? Lots of things, of course, but which ones to actually put down is the real question. So I guess that I will start from the beginning.I was born and raised on a dirt farm...ok! All kidding aside, I lived a fairly quiet life up to now in the quaint hamlet of Wallkill, in the state of New York. For those of you unfamiliar with that town, there isn't much to become familiar with. It is a small town that is famous for not being famous. It is filled with lots of cool people though, and you can be "introduced" to some of them in my "People" section.
This fall I will begin attending the State University of New York at Stony Brook (a nice little town on Long Island) as a major in computer science. After graduation, I hope to work for some nice big name company to work on software development. Or do something else. That is still so far in the future that it is but one of many possibilities.
As for what I am like personally, that is a difficult question to answer. I like to think of myself as a pretty decent guy. I believe that I am nice, intelligent, and have a good, though self-depreciating, sense of humor. But I think that one of the best things that people can do is to be able to laugh at themselves.
I am also very political. I am a strong supporter, and soon to be member, of the Democratic Party. I can go on for hours and hours in a debate over any political issue. Even if it is only in circles! ;-)
Writing is also a major passion of mine. I am a poet, with at least some skill, in my humble opinion. Also, I enjoy writing writing prose, especially short stories. Some day I hope to be able to write my long-awaited novel, but my skills at present don't allow me to write anything that is too long. One of these days though...or months...or years....lol.
Another huge passion of mine is music. I love alternative music. My favorite band in the world, Our Lady Peace, actually was the inspiration for the name of this site. Some other random bands that I like are Metallica, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, Tool, and Stone Temple Pilots.
